Holidaying in the Rain

This is a lonely and sad christmas. I've missed the annual village Xmas celebration this year but I'm going to spend xmas in Desaru.

Feasting over platters of tropical fruits, and good food, think i had grow sideways. It's not 1 of the best holidays i had, but it's the most surprising holidays i ever had. Christmas this year was flooded with rain water. The visit to the fruit farm was more of educational rather than entertaining. Th ground was wet, and i had to roll up my jeans so that i wouldn't dirty it. It was so disgraceful. The weather was not too good, yet lady luck was siding with us. We were always safe in the van when it started to rain. The mini-farm hosted many little farm animals and there were rabbits, kois and little chicks.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner always started off with colourful plates of fruits, lining on the row of LONG table. The appetizers and the starters were all the fruits on the table. It's good to see, but not nice to eat. It can be so filling that you don't want to continue the main course anymore.

Fruits, anyone?

After lunch, we went to the coast of the island and i saw a fantastic view of the rock formation, facing me was the south china sea and a rock which was standing in the middle of the ocean due to the natural erosion of the waves. At that point in time, the natural beauty where the strong winds blew, and the waves roar, it was a real beauty. I saw the horizon, it was a bird's eye view where the sea and the sky meet. It was so fabulous.

Dinnertime, colourful plates of fruits and something different, BBQ food.... Sounds delicious, indeed it was. The dinner was a heavy one, before we set off to watch the little stars of the night. It's the fireflies!!! It was a long, long journey to the dunno where river. A big boat waiting for us there, the place was dimly lighted, we put on our life jackets and hopped onto the boat. The boat sailed off in complete darkness, it was so dark that i can't see my own hands in front of me. I was rather amused by how the fireflies glow in the dark. It was so much like the Xmas trees lighting, blinking on and off. The most surprising part was the sky, lighted with many twinkling, twinkling little stars, it was an eye opener for me. I saw a zodiac sign but dunno what that was, it's a 3 stars lining in a straight row. The ride along the river was a long and peaceful one, the sky was so beautiful, this was the 1st time i ever see so many stars in my life.
